I loved DA2, it doesn't deserve the flack it gets, but I find Skyrim to be a lot more fun, I don't get bored with it as I do with DA.

DA is awesome, love the characters, the lore, but it's like reading a book. The main character really doesn't feel they are mine, especially with the human only Hawke. All the characters are scripted out, detailed romance, and it's blast to explore the options. Love both Fenris and Anders. But it's too confining for me. I can read a book three or four times with a different ending with some variations on a theme. But it doesn't hold my attention after that.

Skyrim is huge, it's open ended. I feel like my character is my own, and I can fill in the rpg detail in my head, which is so much fun for me. You don't even have to play the Main Quest for Skyrim, same with Morrowind and Oblivion. DA and other Bioware game, the main quest is the game. I'm free to write my own story in TES.

Like with a lot of things, it's just a matter of preference, really.
