I've been convinced Usopp from One Piece should have always been a girl for awhile now. Why him and not Zoro or Luffy or whoever? I dunno, it just seems like it would work well. Besides that it would balance out the gender ratio on the crew a little more, she wouldn't be a stereotypically pretty girl so she would be less subject to sexualizing, she'd be an engineer and a sniper and comedy relief (roles you don't typically see given to girls), and her struggles with bravery and finding her place on the crew and being Sogequeen (yeah, that's right) would be even more compelling as a girl. The idea just appeals to me.

Also I would ship her with Nami even more.
