My reaction to seeing this secret was "Oh wow, I like that tattoo. Now what's this secret about...oh."

But maybe it does have meaning to them? I mean, not all tattoos are unique or have deep meaning to them, but the hearts could represent something to them. Of course, some people just get tattoos because they like how they look.

I like the Zelda hearts. To each their own.

Who are you to say someone's tattoo doesn't have meaning to them? Zelda is a popular game that influenced many people and that many people have fond memories playing. It's a nice design and recognizable gaming icon, so I could see why many people would want it.

I guess I'll be the one person to agree with you so far in this thread, OP, at least for the most part. And Zelda is by far my favorite game series and it is VERY meaningful to me. But I've seen that tat so many times that I just roll my eyes when I see it. You'd think that if a series meant that much to someone, they'd be able to come up with a unique design to profess their love. I would personally hate to have a tattoo that a million other fans have too.

At the same time, I would never actually mock or insult someone with a tat like that, since they can do whatever they want and it's not my business. It's just how I personally feel about it.

It doesn't matter to them what you think of their tattoo. People get tattoos for all kinds of reasons, including "because I just wanted a tattoo". It's their body, their decision, and holy shit, who cares if someone gets a tattoo someone else got?

Protip: Nothing is really original. It's always been done by someone before somehow. What matters is that you (generic "you", not "shitty judgmental OP you") like it, and that's it.

I'm really fucking tired of people coming in and getting judgey about what other people A) decide to do with their bodies and B) how they decide to express love for something in their lives. That tattoo is adorable, and I love it every time I see it. Who gives a fuck if tattoos are original if it's meaningful to the person who has it? And who gives a fuck if it's really meaningful if the person who has it just happens to like the design? People get tattoos for lots of reasons, and 'original' and 'meaningful' is hardly required criteria.
