Meh. That doesn't seem too odd. There are many actor's whose deeds/charity work/etc I enjoy but I don't like their acting (or face :|).

I agree with the role model bit.

I think her singing is just fine personally. I mean I don't think heart attack is a great example, because of auto-tune (but it fit the songs) but if you listen to her other songs I think they're much better (and I've been listening to her since her early albums). (For The Love of A Daughter. That song is gorgeous)

I think it's unfair to say she cannot sing at all or should stop, She just has some songs that really don't come out as well as other ones.

Though to be honest I really get annoyed when I see "they should stop acting /singing" rather than "I don't like them/ their music" Because It seems..idk entitled and cruel to tell someone they should stop acting singing, something they probably enjoy just because you don't like it. If they're spreading harmful ideas, that's different, but yeah.

having heard demi sing live, she really is not that great. it sounds like she's literally screaming half her songs instead of actually singing (ESPECIALLY in heart attack) and that's really awful for your vocal chords.

after being in choir for a million years, it's really easy to tell the difference between singing loudly/belting and just pretty much yelling what you're singing. it's pretty terrible to hear.

I like the song tbh. A lot of pop stars can't sing great as well. You don't need to be an opera singer to sell CDs.

Saying you admire someone and then wishing they'd switch careers because it embarrasses or annoys you... it just seems disrespectful. And what if her music is important to the young women she's a role model to?

idk...If you watch the "Backyard Sessions" Miley could really carry a damn good song without autotuning or anything.

I wish more people could separate "can sing well" with "does sing well". It's possible for artists to be ABLE to sing well, but CHOOSE to do things that weaken their singing /songs.

But I do heartily agree that Demi is awesome.
