Re: Korra finale aired online (spoilers)

So Korra and Mako ended their relationship and now he's with Asami again? I want to believe that this is the end of the love triangle but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Though if it is, I doubt we will be seeing the end of poorly written romance in this series. I bet they will give Korra another love interest.

What happened to Desna and Eska?

I've only read spoilers, I haven't watched the show because well, I hate Masami and don't care to watch that trainwreck unfold. Unalaq dies and the twins are okay with it, I guess. The breakup with Makorra is sort of as unclear as Masami was s1, but I doubt they're going to put them back together after this.

Also, apparently all the avatar statues got torn down because of the new Avatar line or something. Just pointless. She's also now severed from every past life.

Eh, I thought they weren't going to put Mako and Asami back together but they did so anything is possible when comes to this series. Ugh, I'm not looking forward to seeing how Mako and Asami's relationship plays out. I hope there's not too much relationship drama. I wish they would just stop with the relationship bullshit already. I want them to focus on fleshing out the friendships and the characters. Guess that is too much to ask. Wonder if we will see Desna and Eska in the next season or if they will just dissppear.

Are you serious? That sounds so fucking bad. I don't even know why I bother with this show and its shitty writing anymore.

Yep. Korra and Rava get severed, and when she re-fuses with Rava she loses all connection to her past lives. :/ She's basically Wan all over again

I just... who thought that was a good idea? The Wan episodes were the easily the best episodes of Korra so I was kinda hoping to see more of the previous avatars. I guess it could still happen, but still. I have no idea where they're going with this series.

I don't, either. They do things then change them, retcon things in, make awful choices (apparently Ginger wants Bolin after all-even though he forced a kiss on her while she was tied up, yay?) I'm done with Bryke. I don't find any enjoyment from their writing anymore.

Ugh, the Ginger/Bolin is so forced. The more I see of their writing and of Korra, the more I believe ATLA was some sort of fluke for them. I'm not sure I will be able to watch another season. The writing is just so bad. I enjoy watching trainwrecks, but this is painful.

What annoys me is that Mai and Zuko fought much worse than Korra and Mako, yet they were 'meant to be'. How is it that they just 'didn't work out' when Korra was reacting badly for a few days due to the stress she was under? I don't understand. They were perfectly fine for six months up to that point. I honestly think Bryke is far overrated in the writing department.

I don't know. Seems like they just wanted to drag out the relationship drama and milk it as much as they could. What I don't get is why Asami would want him back and why they're back together. I mean when Asami suddenly kissed him, Mako seemed like he didn't particularly think going down that road was a good idea. Didn't seem like he reciprocated the feelings either. Like he just thought it was a heat of the moment sort of thing. Then suddenly they're back together. No buildup whatsoever. And just when I was starting to maybe I'd like Mako.

I think that his writing is overrated. Like I said, think ATLA was a fluke.

No statues got torn down, that was just the spiritual line because Korra and Rava were separated. There were no colored Avatar statues. Geez, doesn't anyone pay attention? Hell they were in the same order from when Aang gave her back her bending.

The big Aang statue outside air temple island does get torn down by Vatu/Unalaq. Maybe you weren't paying attention?

Yeah, one, as in singular. I'm pretty sure they were talking about about when Unalaq/Vaatu was beating the shit out of Rava and they showed the Avatar line disappearing or dying or whatever.
