I wish I could call this a strawman. I've actually read essays by people who think this way. Thankfully, they don't seem to be all that common, just loud and in your face.

There comes a point when you go so far against an ideology that you wind up with the same ideology you're saying you're against. You see the same thing in politics, too--far-left paranoiac survivalists tend to use the same language and ideas as far-right paranoiac survivalists. But survivalists at least admit they're survivalists of some kind, whereas racists who happen to be liberal get infuriated at being called racists, because they're not like those horrible conservative racists, are they?

I'm not saying the OP is that type, mind you--I think we're probably misunderstanding something. I just wanted to vent a little.

Oh god, this. I think it gets to a point where they're not even two different groups. Just paranoid survivalists with no political ideology beyond "the whole damn world is out to get me!" At least they're entertaining? :P

This is legit why I think SJWs ARE the enemy/oppressors -- and they get away with by hiding in plain sight.

I think they're ultimately a tool. Old-school racists still have a certain amount of power, whereas SJWs have no real power other than the ability to yell really loud and annoy people. However, old-school racists have the ability to point at SJWs and go "This is what anti-racists are like! Don't listen to these idiots! Listen to us instead!" Thus, old-school racists get to entrench themselves and discredit people who actually want to stop racism, without ever having to respond to any of the people who make reasonable (but not loud enough) objections to their racism.
