My siblings and I all live in different states. One of my siblings did a Very Good Thing, and I'm super fucking proud of them for it, and our parents need to know about it, but said sibling refuses to contact them about it for going on 2 weeks now. My parents keep asking me if I've heard from them, how things are going, any news (they're not big on technology/email/facebook), and I have to keep saying, "Nope. Nothing new," because it isn't my news to tell them. I just asdfjkl;asdfjkl;. >:(

Hahah awww. Yeah, I tend to be That Sibling that never tells the parents about stuff, good or bad, and then I get pissed when my siblings tell my parents what I'm up to.

My family just ends up talking about me to each other behind my back anyway. :<

Which on one hand is pretty galling, because ffs people I told you that shit in confidence, but on the other hand it's generally better To Know than Not To Know. I just hate talking about my life in general.

Wow, I can't imagine this happening in my family. I have a lot of distant cousins but we always stay in touch and if anything happens everybody tries to reach out to everybody else. Does the sibling have a reason for not contacting them? Do they have a bad relationship or what?
