My depression was/is really bad this semester and I couldn't handle my courseload, so I dropped my classes.
Pros: Less stress, free time, I have to deal with my depression/anxiety crap anyway
Cons: Financial aid is shot, super guilty, wondering if I've ruined my life

Don't be guilty. Look forward. Focus on getting help. Get a temp part-time job if you can to save up and have a bit of spending money. And please please get help! Find someone who can help you!

Sometimes things happen that you can't control, and I know that the job market is pretty bleak right now. But there are still opportunities. Going to college and getting the best job, having the biggest house with the fanciest Christmas lights, etc. is not the only kind of life there is. And you can go back. Right now, you need to take care of yourself.

I've dropped out and gone back, if that helps at all.
