It's often said Chileans are "The British of Latin America". This holds true to booze too. Seriously, the only reason Mexicans seem to get drunker than us, is because our entire country population fits in Mexico D.F. with space to spare. And because we damn love our wine (it's a very good wine!), and wine and tequila are on whole different levels of strongness.

I like getting both tipsy, drunk, and sometimes even shitfaced depending on my mood. I live with my mother, and she hates the smell of alcohol, so I try to not do it often to not displease her. I usually have one drink on family gatherings (most likely a nice cabernet), or two-three cocktails with my friends when we go out (more if it's just beer, both which puts me in "maybe tipsy" territory, but definitively not "drunk").

And sometimes, there are the times I party wildly. Which aren't as often as I'd like. Maybe every two months depending if my friends are not busy and the plan is indeed all of us getting shitfaced in a safe enviroment?

I like getting drunk, though, and love all the different tastes from all the different kinds of hops, wines, spirits and mixed drinks. I'm a gourmet for both food and drinks, so I like having well-made alcohol :'D (I used to complain about how my uni classmates loved to get falling-down drunk in stuff that was fitter to be left for vinegar than wine. Pro-tip: If it comes in a plastic 5 lts bottle with a tag pasted in, do not drink.)

Back when I lived alone some years ago, I used to drink several times a week. Not to the point of drunkness, or anything, but I was heavily depressed and sometimes it was the only way I could get some sleep (I have had a sleep disorder my whole life, and wasn't taking medication at the time. Coupled with the depression, it was more like self-medicating). Some of my "friends" even thought I had an alcohol problem and quit me in disgust. But after I got into therapy, I stopped drinking to self-medicate, and now I have no problem with having "just one, once in a while", so I'd dare to say that, while I was having "a problematic behaviour", I didn't have an actual "alcohol problem". I have a healthy relationship with booze now, it's cool :3
