Re: Santa

(I know this is super late and no one will see it. Oh well.)

I'm not sure when my brother and I realized that Santa wasn't real - I'm not sure if our parents ever said that he was. I grew up knowing the myth and all, but it's a bit foggy in my memory.

Since everyone in our family is an adult, though, now what we do is give each other gifts, and when those gifts are media (DVDs, books), the "From" tag is usually the name of the main character. (We got PotC from "Captain Jack Sparrow", the Lord of the Rings movies and books from "Bilbo Baggins" and "Gandalf", etc.) Keeps the spirit of the thing alive without the awkward "lying to your children" part.
