So write/draw stuff that you like and stop bitching about it.

People like P/E. So they draw P/E and write P/E. Why the fuck should they bend over backwards to write stuff they aren't interested in because you and people like you BAAAWWWWW about there being nothing else but it? Really, it's more the fault of everyone else for not writing their own stuff.

I'm a huge Adrian/Franziska fan. So guess what I write?! Because it interests me and I like the coupling.

In conclusion, put up (your own works) or shut up. :D

lol. Right. Because saying 'I'm sick of seeing nothing but just X/Y' is obviously a plea saying 'Stop writing/drawing about them and start writing/drawing for MY pairing A/B'.

In some ways it is. Besides, if you think there's really NOTHING out there but that couple, you aren't looking hard enough. Granted, a lot of what else is pretty... meh (well, the majority of fandom in general tends to be meh no matter what they're writing, to be fair) but it certainly exists.

But yeah. It is sort of, essentially, the same in spirit if not actual words.

It's a good question about MagShoe (It's adorable and lovable but why IS there so little of it?)... but yeah. You're right that I doubt the P/E shippers ONLY ship P/E or like those two, but... I dunno. Sometimes it's just easier to write a pair of characters. I tried to write P/E and they just wouldn't cooperate >_> And really, there's some extremely well-done Phoenix/Edgeworth that doesn't necessarily just focus on the two, and does bring all the other relationships in the series (like Phoenix to the Feys, Edgey to Fran, etc) into question.

There's so little of it because it's an established relationship and far less taboo than anything gay (for both men and women pairings), so it's less appealing to write about. Pretty par for the course in any fandom.

Well, I love Neil/Lana, young-Phoenix/Iris, and Fran/Maya to name three rairpairs, but I'm devoting time and energy to my P/E fic right now. Most of the pairings I'm interested in are popular. I like Gumshoe/Maggey and Diego/Mia, but until I find something to write about with them, I'm not going to force the issue. And, really, I have no interest in Dr. Grey and Ini or what have you. And I don't think pairings like Gumshoe/Edgeworth work at all, so I'm not going to write something that makes absolutely no sense to me. A lot of the time, my interest in minor characters in non-romantic too.

So, no. P/E isn't the only thing I ship. But I get tired of hearing that by writing them I'm just adding to the pile when I'm trying to do something interesting and inclusive to the PW universe as a whole--just with P/E as a centerpiece.
