LAWL. MOAR PORN.

But seriously, not necessarily. I watch porn but I have no interest in participating in the act myself. It's hot to watch, but I don't want to.

Then again... that's not really asexual is it? I looked up the definition on wikipedia a while ago, and it seemed to fit my predicament, but I'm not so certain anymore. I think a large part of it is fear... with another large part being pride.

So, yeah, failed to make a point. MOAR PORN!

I think most sexuality is way more complex then simple clumping everyone into: straight, gay, bi, asexual. There's so much involved, including like you said, fear and pride and a whole slew of other social and psychological elements, and everyone's individual personal experiences.

But I don't know, I've never heard of someone turning down a guy with that as an excuse. But damn, that would work. If he's running into it quite often.... makes me wonder XD

I've had 5 guys interested in me in my life. The first never went anywhere (we were in 8th grade and probably the shyest kids in the school), the 2nd I kind of avoided and turned down politely while a senior in HS, the 3rd I warned beforehand that I wasn't interested (he was giving hints at the beginning) during my first year in college (then he ended up giving me a rose, three manga, a card that told me his feelings, and then outright said he was head over heals in love with me... I had to turn him down again), the 4th was during my 2nd year in college (and I was willing to give it a try perhaps after my co-op, but we never got in touch again, which was fine by me), and a 5th is now interested, and I have no damn clue what to do.

There might even be a 6th now as well (female though... doesn't bother me that she's female, just more along the lines of, "oh crap not another"). Why can't my friends, who want a boyfriend/girlfriend have the luck I'm having! They want the attention, I don't! AGGH!

I think I might give this guy a try though. He's a great friend. I just... well... I don't think I can go where he eventually wants to go (the guy who's waiting for the right girl he wants to marry and have children with). Seriously. If I could find someone who's like me and doesn't want to go along the sex lines, I think I'd be fine. But I know that it will always eventually lead there and I don't know if I'll ever be ready or willing.

Sorry for the random rant.

But yeah, I'd have to agree with you on all of your points. And it could work... perhaps. I mean, I practically said that to the 3rd guy when I said I wasn't interested in dating AT ALL yet he still gave it a try.
