[Hannibal (NBC)]

She's rude, something Hannibal is not.

I disagree

(Anonymous) 2013-11-17 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
That Hannibal isn't rude, that is. He can put on a good front, but almost everything he says to Franklin is nasty, just in a more passive way.

I don't think rude vs polite has as much real meaning to him as he wants it to. It's just self-justification. Franklin just wanted to be his friend (albeit inappropriately so) and got murdered for it, but Will flat-out tells him that he doesn't find him interesting and goes on to become his favorite person.

Hannibal didn't murder Franklin.

But he did. Hannibal broke Franklyn's neck so Tobias wouldn't have the satisfaction of killing him.

No, he just snapped his neck out of kindness. WTF

I thought the black guy killed him. Sue me.

Do you have really bad eyesight or something?

Re: I disagree

(Anonymous) 2013-11-18 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
No I just don't remember every single detail from an episode that aired almost half a year ago. Sorry?

Re: I disagree

(Anonymous) 2013-11-18 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, it aired half a year ago? My god, it's like an eternity! Of course you can't be expected to remember anything from that far back or not correct people based on your wrong memories.

What a fucking moron.

I think it depends on the type of rudeness. Hannibal only seems to take issue with obnoxious "unclassy" (for lack of a better word) rudeness. IIRC there was a deleted scene in season 1 where a woman blew cigarette smoke in Hannibal's face (and he ended up killing her for it). That is the type of rudeness that Hannibal kills people for. That annoying, impolite, obnoxious behavior that pisses everyone off. Though he obviously takes his reaction to the extreme.

this is not related but I think Lara Jean Chorostecki is really pretty, especially with that hair.

I thought this secret was going to be about Brave cosplay, going by the picture.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-18 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
My first instict when seeing the secret was "wow that's a pretty neat Merida, what do the cosplayers have to complaining this time". So yeah.

Cool! Congrats on realizing flaws in your analysis of characters and for working on it. I hope you come to appreciate her as the charming horrible person she is, just like you do Hannibal.

I kind of hated her and wanted her to die for her first couple of episodes. I'm still not a fan, but she's growing on me. She's had her moments, at least, that show she's not just the too nosy for her own good and kind of bitchy journalist character.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-18 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a fan of her character in a way that she's such a horrible person and I want her to meet her end a la Red Dragon. I guess I just really enjoy hating her?

(Anonymous) 2013-11-18 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well, Freddie is supposed to be unlikeable so it's fine if you don't like her OP. That's kind of the point.

Hannibal is a murdering, manipulative asshole, but he's portrayed in a much more charming and likeable way imo. You're obviously not meant to agree with the things he does, but he has to be likeable to an extent or he wouldn't be such a fun villain.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-18 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Well, Hannibal is extremely charismatic, polite and charming. Freddie is extremely obnoxious. It makes sense to like him and dislike her, even if he's objectively a much worse person.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-18 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
I thought this was a Merida cosplay at first.

Merida!

Good for you, OP! I wish there were more people like you instead of people just having double standards.
