Most of us still use homo/hetero/bi/asexual to describe orientation without confusing people and ftm/mtf/none/both/all/tv - yes, tv is still functioning. Then again ... our asexual is probably not the same - I shall explain on myself: high libido here, but not directed at anyone, not ever I find a random dude attractive enough to fuck, I just can tell who looks photogenic. And I'm gay. So.
One of my friends actually did this huge wiki with all the terms (also from other countries and cultures).
Genderqueer is adapting a bit though.
