It doesn't sound at all racist, it sounds critical of homophobia and anti-Semitism in Muslim communities.

Seriously, how is any particle of what OP said racist? It seems to me that there's not a single bit of it that is animus against Muslims in general, rather than a specific reaction to specific issues.

I truly feel you're looking too far into it. Yeah, I see how it can be troubling to say "ooh, Muslim character? let's explore the issues of Islam!". But on the other hand, these are very real issues that many Western Muslims have to reconcile - a faith that has such a negative public image and a loud conservative base, it's not crazy to be curious about exploring this. I agree it's a double standard. But racist? That's a stretch.
