I am so god damn sick of people talking shit about comic book females they obviously don't know a thing about because they saw some badly drawn panels of them by a terrible artist once.

Is Black Widow a boring, shallow fanservice character? SOMETIMES she is, yeah. But if you understood how the cape comic industry worked at all you'd know that writers and artists change all the fucking time and how characters are potrayed changes with them. There are plenty of stories where Black Widow is well written and well developed, just because some sexist moron wrote her badly once doesn't mean that's all there is to her character.

You want examples of comics with awesome females? Ok sure, off the top of my head: Palmiotti and Conner's Power Girl Run, Bryan Q Miller's Batgirl run, all of Batwoman, all of Cass's Batgirl run, Manhunter by Marc Andreyko, too many X-Men runs to count, PAD's X-Factor, PAD's Young Justice, Nomad: Girl Without a World, Y: The Last Man, JLI, Huntress mini by Paul Levitz, Gail Simone's Secret Six, Batgirl: Year One, Avengers Academy, Nextwave, Alias, Saga, Queen and Country (last two aren't capes but I'm mentioning them because they're awesome). There are so, so many more but I'm not at home at the moment so I can't go look things up.

I'm sure some people would have some problems with some of the stuff on the list, but it's all pretty subjective.

I assumed you didn't read comics because of the ridiculous generalisations you made. What's more, if you actually think comics are so bad that almost all comic book females are only good as fap fodder why the fuck are you reading them? The situation is bad but it's not even close to that bad.

I definitely agree that sexism in the comic book industry is a problem, but I don't see the point in only focusing on the negative aspects and completely ignoring the positive ones. Especially when you try to devalue a bunch of awesome female characters to make your point.
