I'm late today so this isn't the friend code exchange thread. That should be Wednesday or Friday.

However, I did have a minor question about X/Y. Someone traded me a rare pokemon with pokerus. I know the thing has a timer until they're cured and bulbapedia says that putting it in the PC freezes that timer in previous versions but does that still hold true for X/Y? I need to know if I can work with this virus at my leisure or not.

Also, have you ever gotten pokerus? Any tips for someone who's never dealt with it before?

Yeah, it works the same way as previous gens. You have about two real time days (I think, it's been awhile) to use it and pc freezes time. Make sure you keep one with pokérus in a box, so you can spread it later.

Also good job on making a thread! I remember you being worried about making one before

Oh, that's good to hear. I will do so. I'll start reading up on how to spread it and all that. Maybe I'll spread it to a bunch of low level pokemon and give them to you guys as a present or something so all of you can have it too. (I only say low level because they're easiest to catch.)

If you get worried, pop it in your active team and run through a few wild battles so they all get it, put pokerus pokemon in storage, bring out new ones to infect - rinse and repeat so you have a whole box of pokerus pokemon!

and when a pokemon is finally cured some 3 days later it gets an adorable smiley face on its summary

It apparently doubles the EVs that your pokemon receives after battle.
