Ah, I see. Emotional. But doesn't there have to be some kind of... reward for that behavior? Something to make them want to do it again? Some positive... reinforcement or something?

It's more like... catharsis.

Which is rewarding in and of itself even if the thing doesn't change itself to conform to your demands.

Aaaahhhhh catharsis. That I can understand.

You know, thank you for taking the time to explain this to me. It really helps and I appreciate it.

No problem!

I read a book sporking regarding a particular author because I like the sporker and the discussion in the sporking journal. I've read the books that they're bitter about but I'm more 'meh' myself. (Although I totally get into the discussions and the spork because Ideas!)

It's given me a lot of time to think about the phenomenon.

(Although, yeah, there's a ton of bitterness involved too. Again, because there was great love and now it's great hate. You've got to let off steam somehow and that's certainly one way..)

Ah, sporkings. I remember those. Mostly I remember some of them making me giggle because of the jokes. I want to say, "They're still around?" but of course they have to be.

Hmmm, but yeah, that makes sense. It seems so clear now that you explain it but I was truly baffled before. Ah, hindsight is 20/20 and unforgiving. Anyway, thanks again.
