... They deliberately shot an opening scene where all you can see of Steve is his flexing shoulders and bouncing butt, and you're on your high horse over Natasha utilizing some of her assets in the most effective manor? Fanservice is Tony showing up in that dapper suit, looking suave and polished when both before and after that one bit he was wearing a tight black shirt and jeans. It's when Thor stands so his shoulders look like you could hang sheets on them in almost *every* scene. It's every single time Bruce does that shy little head-duck.

If you've read the comics, that is just what Natasha *does*. It's part of her job. She uses both her gender and her attractive features to make people underestimate and trust her, and doing so is why she's so good at it. Taking away that aspect of her character would warp her in the same way taking away Steve's leadership abilities or Tony's high society lifestyle or Clint's love of archaic weaponry would warp them. They'd still be recognized as representing themselves, but they would be more like a parody than a true likeness.
