I went to my first counseling session. I don't want to go back because I turned into a snot faucet and it was so awkward.

That is intimidating. I've been there.

A couple things - one, sometimes crying can be healing (and counselors are used to it and don't judge you because it's part of their job), and two, it's important to keep in mind that the first counselor you see isn't necessarily the best fit.

I hope you are able to go back. Best of luck :)

I cried through a lot of counseling sessions when I first started going to them but eventually I found someone I felt comfortable with and it got better. I hope you can either make it work for you or find some other way to get what you were hoping to get out of counseling.
