Sometimes it isn't the quality of the writing that is the reason to why someone wants to read a fic again, it might be the story in itself or just how it made them feel... Believe me I read a lot of fanfics with good plots, but not so good writing.

Seriously I am on chapter 80something on this fanfic which isn't the best written thing on earth, heck even the characterization isn't all that great, but I am invested in the damn plot! So if I ever lost track of it I would ask someone to find it, because yeah I really do enjoy reading it, not so great writing and all...

There are some fics where nothing about it is objectively good and I would never claim it is, but something about it still appeals to me.

Oh man. I know that feeling. I'm like 100k words in now on this fic (and almost done) and the things I was amused by are less amusing now, but I might as well finish it. Its not horrible, but since there aren't that many fics to choose from with this pairing (from what I'm used to) I'm tolerating writing I normally wouldn't.

You know the fic I was talking about, it is an High School AU, and not even a well written one at that... But wow I am invested... I suspect the author is quite young, especially with all the describing of clothes and music and the obsession with emoish things... But alas I am hooked and I will read it until it is done.
