Re: Old skills

I actually have partial to complete knowledge of all those skills. My weakest is car maintenance but it's something I've been slowly gaining knowledge in in the past year and bit. I can always use more variety in knots, be proficient in more dance styles and learn to make fancier and prettier clothes. Maybe I should actually learn to knit and fix moth-eaten sweaters while I'm at it, and learn how to carve up large animals without butchering up the cuts (pun(s?) not intended).

I won't deride people for not knowing all of the skills though. It is possible for people now to live well without knowing any of these skills, so I can't blame them for not knowing something they never had a need to learn. Also, like the comments said, some people are just crap at something but their partners make up for their lack. There is nothing wrong with pooling skills together. That's one of the reasons to get together with a partner in life, isn't it, so you can help each other and make things better for each other?
