Re: Work Thread Go

(Anonymous) 2013-11-21 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
I work for a non-profit doing science communication type stuff. I work from home (my boss is across the country and super demanding/unpredictable); it's isolating, unstructured, and anxiety-inducing, but when I really think about the work we do, I love it and feel like I'm involved in something that matters. I also feel like an ass for complaining about working from home with a flexible structure when there are people working dawn to dusk in cubicles. But it's very lonely and I miss other humans! And it can be BALLS trying to be productive. But I make a good wage, I am (mostly) doing work I care about, and I'm only anxious, unproductive, and lonely like...half the time.
