Urg seriously? That sounds awful. And it kind of contradicts any "tolerance" message he was trying to sell in his book.

It almost seems like an inadvertent compliment, seeing as the kids are selected for both their intelligence and ability to become unquestioning killing machines. You could read it as women are better at critical thinking and, thus, make poor mindless soldiers.

Yeah, I'd say the "few girls in the Battle School" is kind of gender determinist*, but not misogynist and not necessarily sexist.

*assuming I'm using this term correctly
