Lastly there's also the fact that if you looked at a breakdown of the number of non-white leads the UK I will hazard a guess, will have the lead. You don't really have the equivalent to Luther, or Top Boy, Hustle, etc.

But the above stats for the US were just for leads. Meaning there are more lead POC characters in the US than there are POC characters period on UK shows. So no, you are incorrect.

and any lead you have will always be in a role in which colour matters.

Wrong. Shows like Scandal, Elementary, Sleepy Hollow, etc. all feature POC leads that could have just as easily been played by white people.

In the US in a way that doesn't exist in the UK you tokenise.
