ugh the dish thing is disgusting!! we don't have an apartment, just a single room, so the only dishes we have are a few cups and a mug (all belonging to me and for my use only). one day, she asked if she could use my dishsoap. I said yes, assuming she was washing a mug she borrowed from a friend or whatever. big mistake--when she came back, there was an inch's worth of soap missing. I asked her what she had washed and she said, "oh, a few small plates." WTF! either she was lying or just wasteful, and either way I was fucking pissed. she offered to buy a new bottle and I said just to forget it, but tbh every day I look at my soap I think about how much more I would have had if I had just said no.

and she also always keeps the door unlocked at night so her friends can come in and wake her up in the morning. the kicker is that she never even gets up when they tell her to, and stays in bed until five minutes before her class starts anyway. from now on I'm definitely putting my foot down about it because no longer can I be bothered with this stupid girl.

I'm going to assume just wasteful, since I've known several people now who just don't know how to use soap. They don't seem to realize that just a little dollop creates a lot of suds.

And wow, the perfect reverse of my old roommate. Hmm... passive aggressive tactics like locking the door after she leaves it unlocked definitely won't help since you mentioned she tries to do "revenge" tactics. I don't know, maybe just a heartfelt sit down, telling her "hey I feel unsafe leaving the door unlocked" (and a nudge to get her to invest in an alarm clock)? Granted that didn't work for me, but it doesn't hurt to try.
