1. Well, I learned cursive in school, but I was not great at it (only thing in primary school I got Satisfactory instead of Excellent in). If I do it carefully, it is legible, but it is never going to be pretty. So I write notes in print, legibly. (The guy writing the article should have put "The ability to write cursive legibly".)

2. I can remember several phone numbers, but sometimes I look them up just to double check (because there have been several moves, several phone changes, and some area code changes due to population increases).

3. I can look things up in a phone book, but seriously, how is this a skill?

4. I can change a tire and check the oil.

5. I have replaced parts in the toilets and refrigerator. I have taken apart the pipes under the sink to clean out a clog (it was gross, but I was successful).

6. I can read paper maps. In fact, I have several in my car. And I have an atlas here that I use for reference.

7. I can tie four different knots, but I'm not around a lot of things that need to be tied, so I don't think I need more than that.

8. I can and do write checks. Correctly.

9. I can sew on a button, make small tear repairs, and hem something.

10. I have fed chickens and gathered eggs. I have fed and watered a horse, but she was a pet. I have picked berries both in a garden and in the wild. I have picked ripe tomatoes from vines. I have picked and shelled peas. But I don't know if that counts.

11. I don't have a smart phone. And if I've used my cell more than twice this year, I would be surprised. When I'm with people, I usually talk to them.

12. I have written fanfic and short stories.

13. Yes, I can dance without being gross about it.
