Re: J-Drama/K-Drama rec thread.
For something a lot more darker and serious, you should try cop dorama Strawberry Night(wiki.d-addicts.com/Strawberry_Night), about a police detective and her team of police officers, fighting crime (I'm not kidding about this one being pretty dark, though).
Now, there are romance subplots in these doramas, but they're actually quite touching (and sometimes hilarious) coming-of-age stories: Stand Up!! (wiki.d-addicts.com/Stand_Up!!) and Nobuta wo Produce (wiki.d-addicts.com/Nobuta_wo_Produce) are definitely something that I would rec. Tiger and Dragon (wiki.d-addicts.com/Tiger_%26_Dragon), a dorama about a delinquent learning the traditional art of comedic storytelling, Rakugo, is also a personal favorite of mine.
Hope that helps, Nonny!

(Anonymous) 2013-11-22 05:17 am (UTC)(link)It does indeed help! They all sound pretty interesting (though I might save Strawberry Night for another time; not in a place right now to deal with dark stuff) - I'll be checking them out soon to see what appeals. Thank you~ <3
