cis/genderqueer relationship

I've been thinking about turning one of my Castle fics into a series, probably of slice-of-life ficlets, dealing with Jenny Ryan's expanding gender fluidity (this is entirely my head canon). I'm a little hesitant, though, because *most* of my ideas have largely been from from Kevin's point of view, and I just...I can already feel the wank from people angry that I'm telling a genderqueer story largely from the perspective of the cis husband.

I guess if I commit to mostly doing loosely tied together ficlets rather than a straight-up wordy plotty story, I'd have more freedom to just jump around from POV to POV as the mood hit. Just do a new ficlet.

But I'm also feeling a little uncertain because I'm afraid it might come off as too idealistic, as Kevin is largely OK with his wife sometimes being a man (except for one story idea where Alexis spies them kissing on a date, doesn't recognize Jenny, snaps a picture, shows her dad and then Castle's confronting Ryan about cheating on Jenny and "clearly" being super dishonest with everybody...but I'm also nervous about THAT story, because in that moment, I have Kevin dealing with a little bit of nutty when realizing maybe he should be questioning his own sexuality...which I guess is kind of problematic itself.

Basically, I've got a whole lot of qualms about this expansion, and I'm just not sure I should do it...even though I kind of want to.
