By your same logic I could look to people who publish YA Twilight knockoffs in traditionl publishing and say that it's only for sellouts. But that would be flawed because there are also very good books to get published.

It's true that some people are impatient and don't want to go through the vetting process of traditional publishing, but it's ridiculous to say that everyone feels this way.
