You're planet names (or lack thereof, rather) are making me giggle, OP! Anyway, I think your teacher should have answered your question instead of telling you it was silly. Kids can't be assumed to possess common knowledge - they have to learn it for the first time somewhere! (It's possible you're teacher didn't even know and was just covering for it. I had a second-grade teacher who did that once.)
