Haha, this was my exact reaction. I wanted to post here with "SHAME!" but I figured that's what the OP was expecting, so... (I just hate fulfilling people's expectations)

Nope. I no longer understand tinypic and/or html.

Fair enough, OP. I enjoyed Manhunter more than either of those movies.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-23 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that's fairly reasonable.

Manhunter is the best of those films! I preferred the more low-key Hannibal from Manhunter too.

Manhunter was terrible. I have never been so disappointed in a Hannibal film, and I HATE Hannibal Rising.

Didn't the Nostalgia Critic say the same thing?

(Anonymous) 2013-11-23 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I enjoy the book more mainly because of Dolarhyde. I think the film is good but it suffers a bit from retroactively making Hannibal a bigger character.
otakugal15: (C:)

[personal profile] otakugal15 2013-11-24 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, I didn't feel he was any bigger than he was in the book. His scenes coincided with his scenes in the book fairly well and Dolarhyde kind of made Hannibal bigger in the book. I mean, had he not written that letter, I highly doubt Hannibal would have been used all that much, book or movie. The ending however was an add on, one I kind of liked, but eh.

I think Red Dragon was an awesome book. Are you talking books or movies? I enjoyed both movies, but RD was a bit more interesting than Silence. Except i really, really, really loved Starling.

As long as it's not Hannibal over SotL

[personal profile] scrubber 2013-11-24 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Because that would be.

Something.

Are you basing this on the films or the books? Because book!Hannibal is way better than movie!Hannibal, IMO at least. I also think book!Hannibal is better than both versions of SotL.

Oh hell yeah! Hannibal Rising is the worst! Dx The book and movie were equally sucky!

(But you should read the books too! Red Dragon and Hannibal have way better endings in the books!)

Yay? Good for you? both movies/books are awesome in their own way?

Do you wanna cookie?

(Anonymous) 2013-11-24 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, chill. The comm is for fandom secrets, this means that by definition it's not going to be about things that are really, really important to everyone. Behaving like posting a trivial secret is some sort of shameful faux pas just makes you look like you don't understand what the point of FS is.

[personal profile] otakugal15 2013-11-24 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
You must be new. I've been here for years.

I can STILL think OP is silly and seeking attention more than "admitting a secret."

You can kindly chill out.

Is that the same font as the SotL title sequence? Because that title sequence is still the cheapest-looking fucking thing for a real movie in a movie theater and not some made-for-TV low-budget Lifetime movie. Ugh.

I kinda thought clarise was a bit of a marysue

So was Will Graham. And Hannibal.

:|

I thought Ed Norton did a hell of a job.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-24 10:39 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure if I would say that Red Dragon is a better movie, but I will say that I enjoy it more.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-24 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Me too. But I think if it wasn't for Fiennes it would've been damned to hell otherwise. But anything scares me more than Silence of the lambs. (Sorry fans! It's just not frightening at all to me and I've really tried a few times to feel the same as the majority of people...)
