Actually, I will admit that I bought comics for the first time in my life after watching The Avengers. My parents never let me have them because I was a girl. I grew up thinking they were "boy things" and such, which is weird because I was allowed to watch all the "boy" Sci-Fi, just not read comics (my mother told me they were dumbed down books that were a sad attempt to get boys to read). I buy them now, not to ship the characters, but to find out more of their stories. I've fallen in love (with admittedly usually minor) characters and want to see as much of them as possible.

I ship all things from the movies. I might technically ship things from the comics because of that. It's not why I buy them though.
