I don't understand why you care. I just find it weird when people complain about others getting into their interest ~for the wrong reason~. I mean, whatever. People like what they like for whatever reason they like it, and it doesn't effect you or how you enjoy the thing so why do you care?

Eh, I think it's pretty comprehensible why people complain about it, esp when it's something so marginal as comics - when it becomes at least in part something you identify as, when it's a refuge, it becomes more important if people who you feel don't share your basic relationship with the thing enter the arena, especially if you feel you can't really relate with or get along with or share your enthusiasm with them.

I mean, it's still super dumb (don't establish your fucking identity around comics) but it's not really an incomprehensible kind of dumb.
