Fandom/Fanfic question

Can anyone think or rec me something where the main female character falls in love or lust with the villain. The Good Girls falls in love with the Bad Boy with a Heart of Gold just seems like the writer can't commit to the guy being a horrible character.

And bonus points if the girl sides with the guy or gets her own start of darkness.

This is my favourite romance plot and it seems like its flirted with and then the guy is redeemed through the love of a good woman. Boring! Solution: Be bad together! :D

I was gonna write a story kind of like that a while go (origfic) except I dunno if it was really a villain, jut a mad scientist

Baccano! is full of couples who do bad shit though like all the main characters are in the mafia or train robbers. They're not portrayed as evil, though.

My first fic published on the internet back in the day was kinda like that. Back when FF7 was brand new, and I knew nothing of fandom... and indeed, I wanted to invert the tropes I was already seeing of "original female character redeems Sephiroth with her love", so my story was "original female character falls in love with Sephiroth, joins the main party as a spy, realizes her mistake, discovers that Sephiroth is unredeemable, winds up having to help kill him".

I would like to see more inversion of the trope myself, which is why I wrote that. :P

That sounds like Harley Quinn & the Joker! The comic and the Batman animated series episode that covers her origin story are both called Mad Love.

Joker x Harley fic archive. A lot of the stories there concentrate on her falling for him.

You might also want to look in the Sherlock fandom for Molly/Jim. Quite a bit of it is more angsty or dramatic irony of Molly not knowing who Jim is, but there's a decent amount of what you're looking for as well. Sorry, I don't have any direct links, but the fill list at the kink meme is descriptive enough. Use ctrl+f for Molly.

And Hannibal/Alana or Hannibal/Abigail. Especially the second. Sorry, no direct links to that either.
