(Anonymous) 2013-11-24 02:50 am (UTC)(link)Get over it.
Also, has it never occurred to you that maybe some people ship characters because its the closest thing to having gay repsentation they'll ever get?
And yeah I know there are some canonly gay characters in comic books... but not a lot.
Also, it's just fun. Kind of like a "what-if" type of thing.
I'm just sayin, not everything is about "lolz these guys look hawt together ima draw them havin buttsexs!!"
Try to use some logical thought process next time before you go bitching about "eeuuwww wimmiz are ruining mah fandom!!!"

(Anonymous) 2013-11-24 03:00 am (UTC)(link)Man, I really think this is not true. I mean, the closest they'll get right now, but the closest they'll ever get? Nah. Over the long term it's going to get better. In 20, 25 years, what you're saying won't be the case. I'd put money on it. Let's come back here in 25 years and if it's still like it is now I'll give you 5 bucks.

really?? thank goodness the gay rights movement has homoerotic fanfiction writers to champion the struggle.
semi-sidebar, is it a new thing to throw around the word 'representation' in reference to fanon things that have no bearing on real life? because i'm seeing people do this a lot to silence dissent and it pisses me off. if you want to ship m/m pairings go ahead but i'm not buying that you do it to fight oppression and right the injustices of the world.
