I miss the old-school CLAMP so much. It seems that the manga have taken the themes of love, wishes, blah blah just way too far. The art is still pretty, but I just miss it when the stories were deeper than TRC or XXXholic. I miss the sense of humor that was so sweet and cute instead of making poor Watanuki do stupid crap.

I really do enjoy going back to read old CLAMP, so I'm right there with you. The stories were just so..ohman. MKR basically formed my thoughts on suicide and death into what they are now, of course after my maturing and all that mixed with it.

I know, right? These new mangas just don't have any...substance to them, I guess. At least, not up to the standards as Tokyo Babylon and such...

I agree. I really enjoy their older (and currently on hiatus) series more than what they're working on at the moment.

I think Holic especially, and tsubasa in the end are going to go somewhere more deep and interesting, but it's taking too long XD! Theyre playing the same old cards for the most part in Tsubasa, and Holic has been on hiatus for so long that I dont even rememeber what was supposed to be going on anymore @.@

Well of course it's going to turn out deep and interesting- it's CLAMP, after all! However, it just feels like they're stalling with filler junk. Not even in Chobits do I think it was that bad.
