I kinda agree-ish (I say "ish" because there have been so many face-palmingly terrible and misleading Sherlock Holmes adaptations that I've seen throughout the years that IMO Moffat's version isn't anything unique to get your panties in a tangle over), but I remember that before Sherlock even came out, people were bitching just about the modern-day concept, not about Moffat's dickbaggery.

Doesn't it just suck when people have an opinion that doesn't ass-pat yours and go out of the way to affirm the validity of everyone else on the planet?

Except for how I don't (and never did) really care for the modern-day concept either?

I just thought it was ridiculous that people were bitching about how Sherlock Holmes would be ~ruined forever~ with a modern-day adaptation and that it shouldn't exist and had to be stopped, when there have been about three kajillion Sherlock Holmes adaptations, several of them terrible, that have taken huge liberties with canon and none of them ~ruined Sherlock Holmes forever~ They weren't content to just go "IDGAF about modern-Sherlock Holmes, so I won't be watching."

Doesn't it just suck when people have an opinion that reflects their objective logic rather than proclaiming their own personal inclinations to be divine law? It's so much harder to create wank that way.
