I don't know, she was a pretty awful human being. You know that saying, "Judge a man not by how he treats his superiors/equals, but by his lessers?". Anastasia (and Drusilla) were the worst kind of people, that they were simpering weasels in front of people they could gain an advantage of, and abused the shit out of the staff (their own stepsister!).

I actually dislike the sequels for that reason. I really don't retconning villain motives at all, especially when it comes to Disney. Their motives tend to be obvious and the retcon usually involves adding some sort of romance and heartbreak to make them somehow a better person (I'm looking at you, Maleficent).

I REALLY hate when Disney tries to portray Cinderella as being forgiving of her sisters. There's really no reason for that. Let her live in a castle. Let her sisters live in their mansion. I don't condone letting people forgive their abusers because that's the kind and perfect Disney Princess thing to do.
