I wish I could soothe their ruffled feathers, but they'd never admit it, if it's true. XD For realz, you guys, if your pairing doesn't happen in canon, you don't need to commit ritual suicide. You can keep shipping them, it's totally allowed! No one will look down on you! WE CAN ALL GET ALONG.

Yeees. I ship a ton of utterly non-canon pairings (and I also ship IchiHime, which is one-sided canon)--and even with IchiHime, I just... I don't see why you should have to justify shipping anything by trying to prove that it's canon?

Oh, lord knows I love me some noncanon pairings. I'm eagerly awaiting the free time to write Byakuya/Yoruichi and Kira/Kiyone fics. Canon is for people whose imaginations aren't as reckless and crazy as mine. :3

I love Ichigo/Orihime too, but -- not because I think it's going to be canon, or because I want to be on the "winning team" or anything. No one wins, in fandom. In the end we're pretty much all delusional one way or another. :D
