I worked today (at four am), and it was actually pretty nice. It was crowded, but after about an hour it died down and fluxed like that. People were reasonable. Did you do anything?

I had a dream that really freaked me out (world was ending, monsters were rising from the Earth to destroy everything, I was on my old college campus and witnessed its destruction, was trying to run away with a friend until he got killed by the monsters, there was no way to escape either my own death or the end of human civilization, etc) so I woke up around 4 because of that. Just kind of lay in bed for a couple hours watching dumb videos on Youtube / reading fanfic to try and calm myself down, then dozed fitfully from about 7 to 10, and then I've mostly been keeping it low key since then.

I am, thank you! Just took me a couple hours to completely internalize that it wasn't real.

But it's probably still not as bad as having to be at work at 4 AM, really.

Shopped at Old Navy last night to get a coat for cheap.

I have a cold or flu or something so I spent literally the entire day in bed reading, up until a little bit ago.

Then I got a call from my mom and found out she'd witnessed a robbery this afternoon and had spent the past few hours going over security tapes with the cops. The guy had a gun and he was only a few feet away from her. She's fine but I can't help thinking about what could've happened so I'm pretty freaked out.

Not in the US, so no Black Friday for me. They do have sales here, but I don't care enough to go shopping. I do have to get a new pair of boots, but the sales here are lasting for a while. The bigger sales here are on Boxing Day.

Been watching my phone most of the day dreading getting a call to fill in for someone. Nothing so far, though, knock on wood.

I decided to venture out today because the pet store I go to was having a two hour window where everything, including sale items, would be 20% off, and they had my preferred brand of bunny litter on sale, which I buy in packages that are HUGE and cost upwards of $20. Wound up getting two of them for about what I would normally pay for one... though I had to wait in line half an hour to check out because the place was so busy. The people in front of me had dogs and cats, though, so I got to watch and play with cute animals while I waited, so no biggie. ;)

Went on to Target, which was well-staffed and orderly, and I even got lucky with a close parking spot. Picked up what I needed (groceries I can only get there, which were on sale and out of stock earlier in the week), so my only complaint was the traffic to get there and home again. I found out a few years ago that stretch of road is the busiest non-interstate roadway in the state of Michigan outside of metro Detroit. It was a real cesspool today.

Then I came home and potted a plant and went up to the roof to get started hanging Christmas lights, then had a brief nap, and am wondering if anyone is likely to go to a karaoke night my girlfriend was tipped off about last night...

Stayed home. Played nurse to an almost six year old who is under the weather. Uploaded some art.

Basically, I did jack interesting today. And it was grand.

Finally replaced my PS3 so I'm excited to get to play The Last of Us. (Though I am Not Good at this game, and I have made very little progress. Zombies freak me out and I'm not as effective at being stealthy as I would like. LOL.)

Also did a tad bit of online shopping, and I'm hoping to finish my Christmas shopping within the next two weeks.

I spent the day watching Revolution. Went to lunch with a friend of mine who just got engaged so that was exciting.

Are you enjoying it? I tried the promo but I think I was in a bad mood and gave up 3/4 into it. Does it pick up?

I'm actually rewatching the first season because I'm all caught up with the second season. I enjoy it and I'd definitely give it a few more episodes before giving up on it. I know it's not for everyone and it gets really ridiculous at times.

The second season is a bit better, but I really like Miles and Monroe. Pretty much the only reason I'm still watching is to find out the backstory of Miles and Monroe. Charlie also develops a lot more as the series progresses.

Did what we do almost every year, which is decorate the house for Christmas.

I worked, but Black Friday isn't quite as crazy in Canada like it is in the US. Also I got Tales of Xillia for $20. :)

Got annoyed when my Starbucks card wouldn't reload. #firstworldproblems

Bit ill today. Running around organising for a house inspection and dropping pets off at petsitters.

I miss their fat little faces already. ;-;

Just got off shift.

Started at 07:00 yesterday. Currently 05:00 GMT.

And black friday isn't even a thing here.

I bought a bag online that I've been wanting to buy for a really long time and it was finally 25% off. Yay!

Worked, we were steady because of our discounts off of higher priced humidors/pipes. The killer was just so many people who needed long term personally talking and helping and then having to run to register for a minute, then people feeling ignored, and yeah. Stressful, exhausting, but nothing horrible happened.
