If this is someone's version of "true love" then I feel sorry for them. They don't even love the person for who they are, which is part of how I define love. They just are obsessed with this person. Who they are as a person and what their personality is like doesn't even matter at all to their "soulmate."

Yeah, that makes it creepy to me. Besides the fact that one is a baby.

The baby thing makes it worse. That kid never had a chance from the start. She's just going to grow up accepting the fact that she's practically already married. Forget going to college and meeting someone else she likes, forget finding out she's a lesbian or aromantic/asexual. She's "his".

That makes it a million times more disgusting that he gives her this Celtic "promise knot" necklace when she's three or four. Kids that age barely have a concept of "tomorrow" let alone "forever". Poor kid. Thank goodness she's a Smeyer character, meaning she doesn't have a brain and is more than content with the destiny she's gonna live out.
