Christmas Present Help

[straightforwardly]

I realize there was a Christmas-help thread yesterday, but I came to the post too late to participate in it, and I really do need some help. Other people, feel free to use this thread for any gift-questions as well.

I'm trying to figure out what to get my best friend, and when I was wandering through a bookstore, I came across this book. Now, I know he really likes Firefly. My problem is, is that I have no idea if the book is any good. I flipped through it in the store, but I 1) don't watch the show and 2) am not personally interested in these kind of books, so I couldn't really tell.

While I'm at it, this popped up when I was searching for the other book. Would this be a better idea? The price is a bit worrying, since there's at least one, maybe two other things I intend on getting him, and he tends to scold me for spending too much on him. But at least on the outside, this looks really nice, and I'd like to know if anyone has it or has looked through it, and if it's any good.

I would go with the A Celebration one. More reviews and better reviews. Also, it is on sale right now!
