I guess there are different ways of defining soulmate. (My verison happens to be that fate guides you to the person who can understand your soul. A 2 year old and a 92 year old are unlikely to be on the same page.) But regardless, you have a choice in the matter. You can choose not to date your soulmate or stay with them. There's this thing called free will. It's pretty important.
