RIP Paul Walker

(Anonymous) 2013-12-01 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Well, SHIT. All the outlets are reporting that Paul Walker has died in a fiery Porsche wreck in California. Apparently he and a friend were driving back home from some charity event and decided they wanted to open up on the highway, and the friend was driving and lost control and they hit something and the car exploded.

The freaky part is, the first F&F is on Bravo right now and I was watching it when I got a Facebook ping from one of my friends posting the news, and WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.

What kind of cosmic irony is it that he died in a fiery crash of a sports car? Part of me really appreciates that irony, if I'm going to be honest here (and I feel awful about that, I do, but...). It's just so crazy.

You're not alone in that, anon. My first thought was how ironic it was too.

Not as ironic as the Heart Attack restaurant spokesguy dying of a heart attack. Maybe not ironic -- poetic? hilarious?

Are you serious? Oh wow, that's hilariously poetic.

Bravo showed the movie because of his death. The news broke a few hours before that.

Such a shame, though :( He was one of those noncelebrity actors that was just so likeable and he was so young too ;(
