I was about to be all, "isn't it gonna be released this month though?" and checked and saw it (got pushed?) to march. so. sorry, OP. hang in there! if you've waited this long, it'll probably be worth it.

Why on Earth would this stop you from playing the original games? Play them again immediately the better to savor the improvements when they do come out!

Why don't you play the old versions? A graphic update is great and all, but isn't the core gameplay the same?

(Anonymous) 2013-12-01 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
(Not OP) Sometimes I refrain from playing games I love and know like the back of my hand, so when I do eventually play them again I've forgotten the details and it's like experiencing it for the first time, kinda. Having fancier graphics and some bonus stuff that the initial version didn't get would only make it better.

I can see that. I did play OoT 3DS, just because it was portable and had new graphics. It still didn't feel new to me, though. Like it was the game I loved as a kid, but now prettier and I could carry it around.

I do get what you're getting at, however. :)

I'm happy to see someone likes X-2. I thought it was fun even though getting the good ending was a lot of work.

I'm waiting on bated breath for this re-release as well, OP.

However, not just so that I can replay it. I hope beyond hope, that this will reignite the fandom community for X-2 that has been dead since 2011. I need my Rikku/Gippal fanfic fix, dammit.

Whiteys and the people who sympathize with them must feel absolutely liberated to say what they really feel without being ~dogpiled~. But isn't that what therightfangirl and failfandomanon is for?

(Anonymous) 2013-12-03 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
What does that even have to do with the secret you're replying to?

WHY HAD I NOT HEARD ABOUT THIS BEFORE?! I need this in my life! Thank you, Anon, for bringing this wonderfulness to my attention.

Secret 2 - Final Fantasy X & X-2 (HD Remaster editions)

[Picture is a promotional image of the videogames "Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster". It shows Tidus and Yuna, the protagonists.]

Ever since this was announced 200 years ago, I haven't touched either of the original games. I AM DYING OVER HERE. I have never gone this long without playing X / X-2. I need my fix, and I'm growing so impatient. Maybe the announcement of the Western release date is what really started to push me.

I feel so pathetic, laughing out loud, and I don't know anyone who would understand.
