It's still imprecise language; if they meant to say "over the top America fuck yeah patriotism", they should have said "over the top America fuck yeah patriotism" instead of "US' patriotism."

But I admit that I'm kind of being pedantic and picky here, I guess...

It's only imprecise if you don't get that meaning from it. I thought it was pretty obvious that was what they meant. (That, or not liking the idea that people are proud of some of our messed up policies/culture)

It's not really obvious what they meant, we're just giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that they didn't mean what the actual words they used meant. You're actually right that it's not imprecise language; what they said had a very precise meaning, which is that OP does not like it when Americans are patriotic. The only reason I'm calling it imprecise is that I'm assuming they didn't mean that.

Like, yes, it's pretty obvious what they did mean, but that doesn't change the fact that the words they used meant something else.
