I'm in a similar boat. I love October and November. I even like January and February. December sucks. It's Asshole Month. I think the only thing in December I actually want to celebrate is the anniversary of Doom's release. (December 10) Everything else is just a pain in the ass.

Interesting. I don't tend to find December nearly as bad, because the cold weather and snow and everything has just started recently enough to still feel novel. February is the month I hate -- it's just cold and wet and bitter and horrible and never seems to want to end, for all that it's the shortest month of the year. Late January kind of hits the same note for me, actually.

I love cold weather, I love snow. (I'm from Michigan, I'm allowed.)

Though I definitely prefer fall -- temps in the 50s-60s!

I've met a lot of people who hate January and February, but I feel like the only March-hater on the whole damn planet. March is just gross! Everything is melting and the grass hasn't grown back yet, so the world just feels like a ball of filthy slippy-slidy freezing-ass mud. :|

I'm mostly disappointed in March. March is when spring is supposed to begin, but it usually does such a lousy job of it that it doesn't really start feeling like spring until halfway through April. So while I have more active animosity for February, March has my disapproval because of the feeling that it could have done better if it tried.

December is designed that way so people go into a new year feeling happy to get this one over with.

I am generally pretty miserable when my allergies, cold weather, ice, and ice pretending to be snow hits but December brings Christmas and all the awfulness it entails in addition to seasonal misery and therefore is my sworn mortal enemy.

There's a certain atmosphere to January and February that I like. It's pretty much December without the Christmas decorations, which is fine by me. We don't get a lot of snow anymore, but it's always cold (which suits me fine) and I love grey days.
