Okay, admittedly, that's hyperbole, but I do have a pattern of people opening my gifts and saying "oh this is great!" in as wooden a manner as possible and then chucking it aside to immediately forget about.

It's mostly my family, though. If I even get a gift, it's a gift card to something they know I don't fucking use, like iTunes or Bass Pro Shop or the fucking Jelly of the Month Club.

But, yeah, it sucks when your family doesn't know enough or care enough to actually find you something you enjoy.
