Secret 4 - Hannibal (TV series), Game of Thrones (TV series)

[Picture is Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham from the TV series "Hannibal" and Theon and Ramsey from the TV series "Game of Thrones". Hannibal is grabbing Will's face forcefully and leaning in close, while Ramsay is caressing a naked and chained-up Theon in a dungeon.]

Both ships are basically about a psychopath attempting to break someone in an attempt at turning them into something else. One ship is celebrated and is the highlight of its fandom, the other is condemned as being depraved. I'm confused as to why one is acceptable and one isn't.
